The online streaming service regularly purges titles from its archives, and a reddit user came up with a very handy guide to movies and popular TV shows that are going to disappear off of the streaming market in the U.S. (an important distinction). Want to enjoy Rian Johnson’s high-school noir Brick, or Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing? Dial them up soon. Does Leonardo DiCaprio’s The Wolf of Wall Street performance have you pining for Titanic? You have until Jan. 1 to revisit the doomed ocean liner. And if you think Grudge Match is the worst movie in Sylvester Stallone’s career, we recommend you watch Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot before the deadline. Actually, we recommend you stay as far away from it as possible.
After scanning the movies that are exiting Netflix in this year-end purge, I’d say that you absolutely need to catch up with the following, if you haven’t seen them yet: The Odd Couple (1968); The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes; Serpico; Requiem for a Dream; Hard Target; Can’t Hardly Wait; Do the Right Thing; Man on the Moon; Back to School; Brick; and The Rundown.
