Recapping last week:

Strong week for the Rotten Watch with two out of the three predictions coming in as winners. Closed Circuit (Predicted: 54% Actual: 44%) and One Direction: This is Us (Predicted: 62% Actual: 68%) both landed within the ten percent range. I felt really comfortable with both of those predictions as they both just looked so vanilla that I couldn’t imagine them finishing too far away from the middle. Not much else to say about these films because, like I said, they were just *meh*.

Meanwhile, Getaway (Predicted: 18% Actual: 2%) was an absolute car crash. I had sent in a prediction that was a bit higher than 18% but then Katey Rich was editing the [email protected]#$ out of that column and informed me Getaway had the potential to be one of the worst movies of the year. She was right. We bumped the score down some, but not nearly enough. What a disaster. Two critics out of ninety-five thought it was worth the price of admission. I’m no conformist, but it just seems so odd to me when the vast majority of critics abhorred something and two people were like, “Yeah, pretty good flick.”

Next time around we hang out with the family and get insidious again. It’s going to be a Rotten Week!
