After almost a full decade of waiting, we're finally going to get more Arrested Development this year. For a long time we only had rumors of a possible movie - which were fueled by the final scene of the series where it's suggested by Ron Howard - but this Spring a whole new season of the show will be premiering on Netflix, with at least 10 episodes ready to launch. Many have assumed that because of the upcoming fourth season plans to make a film with the series' characters had been trumped, but according to creator Mitch Hurwitz that's definitely not the case.

Hurwitz recently spoke with USA Today and revealed that while each of the new episodes will only focus on a different character's perspective, it will be the film that eventually gets the entire Bluth family back together. "The bigger story is the family has fallen apart at the start of our show," Hurwitz said. "They all went their own way, without Michael holding them together, so they're left to their own devices, and they're not the most successful devices." While he didn't give away any specific details about the various plots, he said that the plan is to make the fourth season the "first act to what we eventually want to do, which is a big movie."

Sadly there's still no guarantee that the film will actually happen, but it still is satisfying to know that a feature is still very much in the cards. To read more about the new episodes, which will all debut on Netflix at the same time in May, head over to TV Blend.
