Steven Soderbergh's stripper movie Magic Mike has already added one child of entertainment industry royalty to the cast by casting Elvis's granddaughter Riley Keough, but it turns out there's room for one more. The Playlist-- which appears to be Soderbergh's go-to source for dropping any information at all about his films-- reports that Cody Horn, daughter of former Warner Bros. President Alan Horn, has landed the female lead in the movie, playing the sister of the main character played by Alex Pettyfer who also winds up in a romance with the titular Magic Mike (Channing Tatum), her brother's mentor at the male strip club where they both work.

When erroneous reports hit last week that Jessica Biel had been cast in the film, word was that she played a stripper who got romantically involved with Tatum's character. Given that the casting news wasn't true I'm not sure if Horn will also be playing a stripper, or just an innocent female tossed into the lusty world of a male strip club. Either way it's likely a big role for Horn, who had no trouble building Hollywood contacts thanks to her dad's job but is still taking pretty small roles, including in David Ayer's upcoming End of Watch and on the next season of The Office. No offense to Horn or Keough, but I still think Magic Mike is going to be all about the guys. Soderbergh knows what he's doing casting famous pretty boys Matthew McConaughey and Matt Bomer in a movie based on Tatum's early days as a male stripper, and it's how he directs all that male beefcake that we're all dying to check out. If anyone actually manages to remember that women are in the movie, it'll be an accomplishment on their part.
