There’s been so little activity on The Mummy front over the past month or so that I almost forgot the franchise was getting another movie. After weeks of back and forth on Rachel Weisz and Brendon Frasier joining the movie (she didn’t, he did), the movie pretty much dropped off the radar. Now director Rob Cohen has started a production blog to keep fans up to date on where things stand with the movie, which has already started filming in Montreal.

Unfortunately, Cohen has a little bit to learn about interesting production blogs. Thanks to directors like Peter Jackson and Bryan Singer, there is an expectation to live up to. His first entry is really just a summary of both the movie’s plot and where things currently stand in production. Bored now.

Still, I guess this accomplishes something if it gets The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor back into the spotlight, even if only for a little while. Click here to go to Cohen’s production blog and see what little he has to say.
