NBC Aims For Perfect 10 With New Game Show

NBC has a new game show coming up that should be fun for the whole family. While the title, Perfect 10 makes me think the series might be some kind of modeling contest, the series will actually follow families as they attempt to complete ten challenges in an effort to win a cash prize.

According to NBC’s announcement, Perfect 10 is “an in-studio game show designed for both American audiences and the international marketplace -- featuring 10 deceptively simple games that require savvy contestants to complete under pressure with a prize of $1 million awaiting the winner.”

" Perfect 10 features easy-to-replicate challenges that the audience can play and practice at home," said Paul Telegdy, Exec-VP of Alternative Television for NBC. "These fun and unique games will entertain and engage even when the show isn't on TV."

Here’s a more detailed synopsis for how the show will work:

“Over eight one-hour episodes, competitors will face 10 challenges that escalate in level of difficulty. Each game has a 60-second time limit and failure to finish the task on time will eliminate the contestant. At various points throughout the game, the contestant can walk away with the money earned up to that point, but it'll take nerves of steel to complete all 10 tasks to win the $1 million.”

Interested in trying out for the show? NBC.com will be introducing 50 games on the site as well as through on-air promotions. Aspiring contestants can test the games out from home prior to trying out. Details on the auditions will also be available on NBC.com
