Subscribe To WonderCon 2015 In Photos: Elsa, LEGO Batman, And More Come Out To Cosplay Updates
Along with the panels and any special surprises, a big part of the fun of any big comic book convention is the fans. Some attendees travel from many miles away to visit these expos for the chance to express their passions, and – of course – many choose to do so by dressing up as their favorite characters. This year’s WonderCon has proven to be no different, and as proof of that I have a gallery of more than 100 guests in some wildly creative outfits from today’s events.

Today saw the annually-held WonderCon kick off down in Anaheim, California, and while the schedule was fairly light for the day, that didn’t stop many, many fans from coming to the event as dressing up as someone from their favorite movie, television show, or comic book. I saw some fantastic ones over the course of the day, all of which are in the gallery at the bottom of this post, but there were definitely some that stood out above others. A good example is the cosplayer above, who created a mash-up between Frozen’s Elsa and Princess Leia’s slave outfit from Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. But I also got to see a kid in a rather fantastic hand-made LEGO Batman costume:

And even a pair of twins who took the initiative to dress up as the multiplying Multiple Man from Marvel’s X-Men comics:

My personal favorite of the day, however, is the fan who actually made a costume from a movie that hasn’t been released yet. Inspired by the trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, one fan made himself a BB-8 costume a.k.a. The Ball Droid. And while you can’t really get it from a still photo, the guy wearing it was able to actually rotate the bottom portion of the costume to make it appear as though it were spinning:

This is just the tip of the iceberg, however, and you should check out all of the rest of the images in the gallery. You won’t be disappointed.
