MS One: Maximum Security (formerly known as Lock-Out) wasn't on my radar until the first trailer premiered late last year, but now I am totally on-board. The film, which is written and produced by Luc Besson, stars Guy Pearce as a Snake Plissken-esque character named Snow who is assigned to travel to a maximum security prison in space and rescue the president's daughter (Maggie Grace), who has been taken hostage. The previews have featured Pearce in full-on action hero mode, delivering a seemingly endless number of smart-ass lines, and, as a result, the movie looks both incredibly cool and hysterical. Now First Showing has discovered a featurette that goes behind the scenes of the film and takes a long look at what makes Snow tick.

I honestly never knew that Pearce had this in him. While I've always seen him as a great actor, this is unlike anything he's ever done before, and it fits him perfectly. My only hope is that these previews aren't showing off all of Snow's best lines, and that they are saving some for the actual movie. If they are, we could be in for a real treat in a few months.

Due out on April 20, MS One: Maximum Security is directed by James Mather and Stephen St. Leger and also stars Peter Stormare and Jacky Ido and Lennie James. If you wish to learn more about it, head over to our Blend Film Database.
