Schindler’s List hit stores today in a special 20th Anniversary Blu-ray set. The biggest boon to purchasing the release is that it has been transferred from the original 35 mm film negatives and brought to life on High Definition. However, the release offers a few bonus features, as well, and if you are interested in getting a taste of what the set offers, Universal Studios Home Entertainment has put together a few bonus clips for fans.

The first clip takes a look at the true story of Oskar Schindler and looks into the perspectives of several of the people who found a safe haven on Schindler’s now-famous list. Some of the stories are touching and some are a little harder to get through, but the rare glimpse into that historical perspective is certainly worth a watch. While the extra isn’t in HD picture, the storytelling in the clip is better than the picture, anyway.

The second clip will probably sound familiar to those who have seen Schindler’s List before. A man tales a tale of outsmarting the SS Officers after hiding in the sewers proves unfruitful. He pretends he has been given an order to clean the streets and that is why he is still left in the ghetto. The officers move on, leaving space for the man to escape their clutches. Though dangerous, it must have felt like a winning moment to outsmart those who wanted to harm him.

The Schindler’s List: 20th Anniversary set hits stores today. You can check it out over at Amazon or check out the trailer for the release.
