It's not hard to tell that Halloween is just around the corner. Today marked the release of The Cabin in the Woods on Blu-ray and DVD (whether or not you've seen it, go pick it up immediately), The House at the End of the Street is in theaters this Friday, and we've seen trailers for movies like Texas Chainsaw 3D and Mama - despite the fact that neither will be out for this year's All Hallow's Eve. One horror flick that will be making its way into theaters this October, however, is Sinister, the new title from director Scott Derrickson starring Ethan Hawke. We've already seen a number of trailers and posters for the movie, but today we have a special treat.

Yahoo! has posted a brand new Red Band trailer for Sinister. I feel I should warn you that because this isn't a comedy or a slasher film, the red bandness element isn't nudity or bad language, but instead some really disturbing images. Check it out below...if you dare.

Written by Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill, the story follows Ellison (Hawke), a true-crime author who has found his career sink into a rut. To try and rejuvinate things he decides to move to a small town and investigate a crime involving a murdered family and a missing girl, even going as far as to move into the family's house. In the attic he discovers a box of super 8 film that shows him that what happened in his new home is part of something much bigger - something supernatural and evil. James Ransone, Clare Foley, Michael Hall D'Addario and VIncent D'Onofrio co-star in the film, which will be out on October 12th. To see more, head over to our Blend Film Database.
