Back in the '90s and early '00s, there were few actors more entertaining to watch than Will Smith. Movies like Independence Day and Men in Black were so great that they even make us forget how bad Wild Wild West and Men In Black II were. Now he hasn't made a film since 2008 and seems more focused on making his kids rich and famous like mommy and daddy. First it was Jaden's turn, having him star in the remake of The Karate Kid, and now Willow Smith is getting her own movie.

Variety reports that Will Smith, in conjunction with Sony, is now planning to make a remake of the musical Annie with his daughter in the titular role. While the story comes from unnamed sources, the plan is for the Fresh Prince to produce through his Overbrook label. Jay-Z, who collaborated with Willow on her song "Whip My Hair," is in talks to do the music for the film.

Whenever I hear about stories like this, I always wonder if the kid actually wants to do it or if they are being forced into it by their parents. It's quite possible that Will Smith is no better than the mother of a child beauty pageant contestant. Think about that for a minute.
