A 43-year-old Marvel fan died while watching the latest feature in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Joe and Anthony Russo's Avengers: Infinity War. Peddapasupula Baasha was watching the movie in India on Tuesday, and appears to have suffered a heart attack. Officials didn't discover the body right away because they saw him sitting in his seat, wearing 3D glasses, and it was assumed he was waiting for the end-credits scene, like most Marvel fans do.

The Times of India reports that Peddapasupula Baasha was attending the screening on Tuesday in celebration of May Day. He saw Avengers: Infinity War at the Cinehub Multiplex theater in Proddatur town. There is an ongoing investigation into his death, but the immediate conclusion is that he died of natural causes or possibly cardiac arrest while watching Avengers: Infinity War.

Peddapasupula Baasha, according to the Times, was 43 and worked at a nearby construction site. The investigation into his death remains open.

Sadly, this is not the first time that we have heard about patrons dying in movie theaters. Just last month, in fact, a man in England died in a freak accident after apparently getting his head wedged under a recliner chair while trying to retrieve a cell phone that he had dropped. This man suffered a cardiac arrest, according to reports, and could only be freed after the other patrons broke the mechanisms in the chair to release him.

Avengers: Infinity War is the 19th film in the ongoing and expansive Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the first to bring together virtually every character in the realm to fight a new threat in the form of Thanos (Josh Brolin). The might of the Marvel heroes is epic to watch, combining characters such as Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) with staples of the Marvel world that we haven't seen together in screen yet -- including Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and The Guardians of the Galaxy.

The film opened around the globe on Aril 27, and has been setting box office records ever since. Avengers: Infinity War now holds the record for the highest-grossing opening weekend in the States ($257.6 million) and around the world ($640.5 million). Because it opened in April, it holds the highest-grossing Spring opening. There's no telling how high this movie could climb in the coming week, though films like Deadpool 2 and Solo: A Star Wars Story might halt Avengers' momentum.
