Freddie Prinze Jr., Gabrielle Union, And Paul Walker

The world of entertainment is being very much dominated by one trend: nostalgia. TV and moviegoers are longing to back to a simpler time, resulting in reboots and long awaited sequels for classic properties. While 90s shows are popping back up on TV, classic teen movies of the decade have been left untouched (for now). There's no quintessential teen movie quite as iconic as 1999's She's All That, so much so that Not Another Teen Movie was created to spoof it. She's All That features performances from tons of young talent, including teenage versions of Milo Ventimiglia, Gabrielle Union, and the late Paul Walker. Union recently opened up about her time spent onset with Paul Walker, revealing how captivating the actor was.

He was so beautiful; you walk in and every head turned --- men and women. And he had this super disarming, chill surfer smile. We'd just sit at the bar for hours, having a beer and cracking up. It's those little things that you take for granted.

Now that is sweet. While the loss of Paul Walker may still feel fresh for his fans and loved ones, it's comforting to hear what a positive and charming presence he was from a young age. Although the Fast and Furious actor died earlier than anyone expected, these types of memories help him live on.

Gabrielle Union's comments to EW are sure to hit home for everyone familiar with Paul Walker's life and career. While he may be best known for his action heavy roles like his leading role in the Fast and Furious franchise, he got his big break as a 90s heartthrob in movies like She's All That and Varsity Blues. And although he was typically the cocky villain of those projects, he was far more approachable and captivating in real life. It's no doubt for this reason that his career lasted throughout his life, making the tragedy around his death even more evident.

Paul Walker passed away November 30rd, 2013, to the shock of this loved ones and fans. The actor was leaving a charity event when he got into a fatal car wreck, dying from his injuries. The accident occurred while Walker was filming his role in Furious 7, with the involvement of a car adding a specific type of pain to the situation. Ultimately the movie was retooled to honor the late actor, and his spirit remains part of the franchise through new installments like The Fate of the Furious.

Gabrielle Union and Paul Walker played popular kids Katie and Dean Sampson in She's All That, with their shared scenes no doubt helping the two young actor bond. This was one of Union's many iconic teen movie roles, alongside 10 Things I Hate About You and Bring It On.

You can catch Gabrielle Union in Breaking In, hitting theaters on May 11, 2018. She's also working on a Bad Boys TV pilot called LA's Finest. In the meantime, check out our 2018 release list to plan your next trip to the movies.
