See Margot Robbie As Sharon Tate In Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

When the first reports of Quentin Tarantino's new film began to surface they implied the movie was all about The Manson Family Murders. While we now know that's only a small part of the larger story the director will be telling, it is true that Margot Robbie will star in the film as the famous Sharon Tate and now the actress has shared the first image of herself as Tate. Check it out.

Margot Robbie certainly looks like she's right out of 1969 here. From the go-go boots to the mini skirt the picture is simple enough that it could even be a well preserved 50-year-old image, there's nothing in it that makes it obvious it was taken recently for Instagram. Robbie has shown her ability to transform in roles that run the spectrum from Harley Quinn to Tonya Harding. There's no reason to believe that she won't do the same thing playing Sharon Tate.

Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time in Hollywood is set in '69 and will follow multiple stories and characters as they try to navigate the world of Hollwood in the late 1960s. While some of the stories being told will be fictional, at least one will be based on real life. Sharon Tate and four others died in 1969 at the hands of followers of Charles Manson. Tate was married to director Roman Polanski at the time and was viewed as one of Hollywood's brightest up and coming stars. For comparison, check out the actress in a shot from Valley of the Dolls below.

Margot Robbie is only one of a collection of stars who will be joining Quentin Tarantino's new film. It's been announced that Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt are both on board the project and it's being reported that Al Pacino, Burt Reynolds, and James Marsden have also joined the cast. Considering the multiple storylines and the incredible cast, one certainly gets a sort of Pulp Fiction vibe from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, though the setting will certainly help this film stand on its own.

A new Quentin Tarantino movie is always cause for excitement as they are almost always worth watching. With a cast like this one is building up, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood is only becoming more interesting. It's only a shame that we have a year to wait, as the new movie is set to release on July 26, 2019.
