Zac Efron Does Not Recommend Training The Way He Does For Baywatch And Other Movies

Did you see Zac Efron in Baywatch? OK even if you didn't actually see Baywatch, did you see Zac Efron in the trailers leading up to that movies release? He is fit in that movie. Super, super fit. However, the actor recently revealed he would not suggest his diet and exercise plan when getting really in shape for movies to the average person. According to Efron,

It's a finite period of time, but I would not consider that a healthy or normal way to live everyday life. My mood was terrible. In retrospect I can look back now and say that. People weren't telling me I was mean or anything, but I could feel that lack of carbohydrate.

Zac Efron revealed to People that working out that hard really does take a toll on your body, even if he does sometimes look like he's in the best shape of his life on the big screen.

Luckily, for his next role, Zac Efron is set to play Ted Bundy in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. As Ted Bundy, Efron is still pretty fit, but it's not the sort of gig that should have kept him at the gym at all hours.

Still, a new role in a biopic doesn't mean that Zac Efron is putting down the weights completely. The actor is pretty active on social media and often shares updates on fitness goals, even partnering with Amazon in the coming year to share fitness products. So, he's still in the gym on the regular, as evidenced below.

While Efron would not recommend the average person push as hard as he has at various points in his career, in some ways, he does admit the challenge was "fun," also noting,

It's definitely fun because you get to put everything on the line in terms of your work ethic and seeing how far you can push it.

So, if you are the type of person who likes to push and push your body, perhaps Zac Efron's "Olympic" workouts might not be the worst idea after all.

If they are something you'd like to look into, his trainer Patrick Murphy previously revealed Efron did a lot of "stabilizing and balancing" training alongside heavier lifting and power training, at least for Baywatch. So, basically he switched up training a lot and worked out his whole body. But be forewarned: You're going to have to give up glorious carbs.
