The Rock Can't Resist Joking About Kevin Hart While Giving Health Update

Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart In Central Intelligence

A week and a half ago actor Kevin Hart was a pretty serious car accident and, while any crash you can walk away from is a good one, the actor will have some significant rehabilitation to do following the incident. The way that you know Kevin Hart will be ok is that Dwayne Johnson is still making jokes at his expense.

This week Kevin Hart was supposed to be a guest on The Kelly Clarkson Show but due to his injuries he wasn't able to make the taping. His friend Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson stepped in for him and while hanging out with Clarkson he provided an update on Hart's condition, as only Dwayne Johnson can...

Everything is good. I spoke with Kevin; I actually refer to him as my son. I connected with him today, and you know what? These things happen in life. And thankfully, he was strapped in nicely his car seat. Listen, I’m only kidding. We spoke to the pediatrician and he said…

Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart have made more than a few movies together. Their on screen love affair started with 2016's Central Intelligence. They were most recently seen together when Hart made an unexpected cameo in Johnson's Fast & Furious spinoff Hobbs & Shaw. Their next appearance together will be their second Jumanji movie, which will be hitting screens later this year.

As Johnson tells Kelly Clarkson, the two are also good friends. You can see what kind of friendship they have as The Rock is pretty hilariously messing with his buddy, in a way that many good friends do. Kevin Hart is not a large man, he's only 5' 4", which is where all of Dwayne Johnson's jokes are coming from. Of course, when you're Dwayne Johnson, pretty much everybody looks tiny so these jokes work across the board.

The good news, as Johnson does finally get around to telling Kelly Clarkson, is that Kevin Hart is doing well for the most part. We certainly wouldn't be getting a lot of jokes if that wren't the case. Check out the fun yourself in the video below.

While Hart will clearly be ok in the long run, the question at hand is just how long we're talking and what that means for the film projects the actor has on his schedule. Hart wrapped filming on Fatherhood just before the accident, but other films, like My Own Worst Enemy and Monopoly, two movies Hart is currently attached to, may end up being delayed or retooled depending on exactly how long the actor is on the shelf.

Still, these are minor details, which, while likely frustrating for Kevin Hart, are preferable to the alternative, that he might not be able to make movies at all, which could have been the case if the accident had been more severe.
