When Kevin Hart’s vintage 1970 Plymouth Barracuda lost control and slid down an embankment in Los Angeles a few weeks ago, both Hart and the passengers in his car were injured in the process and the police were called. Which means a subsequent investigation was underwent and today we learned the results of the car accident report.

First and foremost, the accident report has determined the cause of the crash was human error and not some sort of malfunction. In fact, according to the California Highway Patrol, the Plymouth vehicle was being driven recklessly by Kevin Hart’s friend Jared Black at the time the accident occurred.

Per the report, however, though reckless driving was involved, Black was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time. In a statement (via Fox News), Kevin Hart also spoke out about not feeling any anger toward his friend following the accident. The succinct statement his attorney sent out notes:

I have nothing but love for Jared and wish him and Rebecca a speedy recovery.

Both Kevin Hart and Jared Black suffered back injuries in the accident. Rebecca Broxterman also suffered from minor injuries after the car went down an embankment and ultimately hit a tree. Yet, it looks like Kevin Hart is choosing to see "the upside" of this incident.

Regardless, it is worth pointing out the accident has had a large affect on Kevin Hart’s personal and professional life. The typically prolific actor had to undergo surgery and allegedly some projects are on hold while he recuperates. He’s also been doing physical therapy to get back in shape and hopes to be back to work in 2020.

It does seem as if recovery is coming along well, however. A new report this week has indicated Kevin Hart is back in the game. He did some preliminary marketing for Jumanji: The Next Level with his co-stars Dwayne Johnson, Danny Glover and Danny DeVito. They all allegedly reworked their own schedules so that the actor could be involved in the process.

Kevin Hart has a couple of movies set to come out over the next few months. The first is the aforementioned Jumanji: The Next Level, which will hit theaters on December 13. The second is a movie called Fatherhood, directed by Paul Weitz. That movie is expected to hit theaters in April of 2020 and features a solid cast including Alfre Woodard, Paul Reiser, Lil Rel Howery and more.

Once he gets back to work in more of an avid fashion, we'll likely be able to tell you where the actor and producer is at with some of the other projects he had in the works at the time of the accident. In the meantime, we wish Kevin Hart a speedy recovery and are thankful we'll still get to see him on the big screen in the coming months.
