New Catfish Trailer Thankfully Remains Mysterious

Anticipation for a wide release of Sundance darling Catfish has been readily growing since its premiere in January, and, thankfully, the most mysterious movie of 2010 has managed to remain mysterious 10 months later, even after the film enjoyed limited release. Reviewed twice by our own Katey and Eric, this documentary looks to shake up those of us who live and love on the Internet.

This new trailer doesn’t reveal much else other than a few unseen shots, as the premise has been talked about quite a bit since the movie’s first showing. The only thing left to know is just what the hell everyone who has seen it is hiding from those of us who haven’t.

“The less you know about this film, the more you’re gonna like it,” is openly proclaimed by an audience member at the beginning of the trailer and that seems to be the widespread consensus, so if you want to go in cold, just hit that little back arrow on your browser and be on your way. But if you want to have a look at what all the buzz is about, scope it out below thanks to MetaCafe.

A new featurette has also been uploaded to the film's Facebook page where the creators, Henry Joost and Nev and Ariel Schulman talk about not only the film, but also how social networking websites like Twitter, Facebook and MySpace play into our daily lives. Again, and for the millionth time, Catfish is a film best experienced without knowing anything about it. Think hard before watching the video below on in HD over on Facebook.
