First Trailer For Craig Brewer's Footloose Arrives Online

In the past few years, director Craig Brewer has done an amazing job creating projects that wonderfully bring the worlds of music and movies together. Hustle & Flow and Black Snake Moan both feature great performances, stunning soundtracks and, best of all, original stories. Sadly, while the first two are still up for grabs, we won't be able to say the last item about his newest film.

MTV has premiered the first trailer for Brewer's remake of Footloose, and while I shouldn't have to tell you the plot, I'm going to anyway. Ren MacCormack (Kenny Wormald) is a city boy who comes to a tiny town where the local Reverend (Dennis Quaid) has outlawed dancing. The film also stars Julianne Hough and Andie MacDowell.
