Kirsten Dunst Gets Married In UK Trailer For Lars von Trier's Melancholia

At this year's Cannes Film Festival, most headlines were about Lars von Trier's "Nazi" comments and his banishment from the festival, but one small detail slipped through the cracks: his newest film, Melancholia, is a damn good film. Starring Kirsten Dunst, who took home the festival's Best Actress Award, the film is about two sisters whose relationship is strained when it appears that a planet is going to collide with the Earth and prove to be the end of the world. The film also stars Charlotte Gainsbourg, John Hurt, Kiefer Sutherland and Alexander Skarsgård. Check out the UK trailer for the film below, courtesy of Digital Spy.

From what I understand the film is split into two parts, the first half of the film featuring Justine's (Dunst) marriage to Michael (Skarsgard) while the second deals with the fear of the Earth's impending doom. While the film has already come out in many countries around the world, it will first be released on Video On Demand starting October 7th and will receive a limited release on November 11th.
