Yesterday's premiere of the stunning new trailer for Ridley Scott's Prometheus didn't really leave room for much more news out of Wonder Con, particularly news about another 20th Century Fox movie with a summer release date. But hey guys, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is still coming out next summer, and it also debuted a new trailer yesterday, making liberal use of Johnny Cash and some Civil War references to set up this alternate universe story of our 16th President below. Take a look at the new trailer below.

Again, with Prometheus still fresh in my brain it's hard to be equally dazzled by this, especially with the action and tricky camera shots that seem really reminiscent of director Timur Bekmambetov's previous film, the flashy but forgettable Wanted. The concept is undeniably unique, but Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter still somehow looks really familiar, like some forgotten Wolverine movie or producer Tim Burton's own Sleepy Hollow with bigger stakes. If there's going to be anything particularly special about this, it'll probably be Benjamin Walker, who made a splash on Broadway as the titular character in Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson and seems to be bringing the same intensity as Lincoln.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter comes to theaters June 22. Let us know how much you're anticipating it in the comments below.
