Captain Planet Goes Live Action In Cool Fan-Made Trailer

The hero known as Captain Planet may be a bit too goofy to ever get a legitimate live-action movie of his own, but I'll be damned if this new fan-created trailer doesn't make me think that it could possibly be done. Directed by Jay Diaz, the trailer sees the Planeteers 10 years after being apart brought back together to save the world. Check it out!

Sure, it looks a little bit like a series that would show on the CW, but it's still pretty cool nonetheless. If they ever plan on actually trying to make a Captain Planet movie, this would probably be the way to go. Though I still think that they may want to consider changing "heart" to something else (anything else, really).

It should be noted that this isn't the only cool Captain Planet video that we've seen. Around this time last year Funny or Die enlisted the help of Don Cheadle, Gillian Jacobs, Efren Ramirez and Brenda Song to make a great short about a Captain Planet who has gone a bit off the deep end. Refresh your memory below.

It should be mentioned that Transformers producer Don Murphy has played with the idea of a live-action Captain Planet movie before, but do you think it would be a good idea? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
