Seth MacFarlane is going all out in the casting of his second directorial effort A Million Ways To Die In The West. Since being announced last December, riding the wave from the blockbuster success of Ted, the new projects has signed on top talent including Charlize Theron, Amanda Seyfried, Giovanni Ribisi and Liam Neeson, all of whom will be joining the Family Guy creator, who is set to make his live-action acting debut. But it seems that until cameras start rolling MacFarlane is just going to keep adding names to his cast list, and today he is close to adding yet another.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Sarah Silverman is now in talks to join the cast of the western comedy as a street-walker engaged to Ribisi's character, Edward. As previously reported, her potential role will be part of a side story in the film, as she is a prostitute who sleeps with every man in town but refuses to sleep with her future husband before their wedding night.
The main story, scripted by MacFarlane and Ted writers Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild, follows Albert (MacFarlane) a sheep farmer who loses his pride and his girlfriend (Seyfried) when he chickens out of a duel. His life begins to change, however, when he meets the wife (Theron) of a notorious outlaw (Neeson) and she teaches him how to be a man. The film will be going into production in the next couple months, but doesn't yet have a release date.
Last year Silverman voiced Vanellope in Disney's hit Wreck-It Ralph and she also has a recurring role on the animated series Bob's Burgers.
