Jurassic Park 3D Motion Poster Takes Us Straight Toward A T-Rex

Movie and TV check-in site GetGlue posted the "motion poster" above, which serves as a nice little teaser for Jurassic Park's anticipated return to the big screen with its 3D makeover, and follows the previously released poster with a similar look, set in front of the gates of the "park." Dinosaurs in 3D! It's happening next month. And in addition to taking us straight at a roaring T-Rex, the teaser gives us a sample of the film's excellent score, reminding us that Jurassic Park 3D may not only be a feast for the eyes, but for the ears as well.

Originally released in 1993 and based on Michael Crichton's novel, Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park is a story of biological tinkering gone wrong. The film follows a group of people invited to tour an island where cloned dinosaurs are being observed and studied, and are meant to eventually be on display for a theme park. As you might imagine, things go horribly wrong, dinosaurs escape and rainy, roaring chaos ensues. See a proper trailer for the film's return to theaters here.

While 3D conversions in film in recent years have been hit or miss, Jurassic Park has the potential to look pretty fantastic in 3D. At the very least, the film's return to theaters gives people a chance to see it on the big screen again or for the first time.

Jurassic Park stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Samuel L. Jackson and Richard Attenborough. The film arrives in theaters April 5.
