Subscribe To Aaron Paul Heads To Stunt Driving School In New Need For Speed Featurette Updates

Aaron Paul has an extremely bright future ahead of him. Working alongside Bryan Cranston on the critically-acclaimed series Breaking Bad, the young star proved himself to be an absolutely phenomenal actor with fantastic and powerful emotional range. With the show now over he's already done some work to try and insure continued success in his career, taking on big screen projects like Ridley Scott's Exodus and the Black list drama Fathers & Daughters with Russell Crowe. Even if it all does fall apart, however, from the looks of the new Need For Speed featurette you see above (which comes to us via IGN) it would appear that he could always fall back on a career as a stunt driver.

As we first told you about back in November, Need For Speed is unlike most car racing franchises these days in that director Scott Waugh decided that he wanted to make all of the car stunts in the movie as practical as he could, harkening back to the days of movies like Vanishing Point and the original Gone in 60 Seconds. While the film's star could have relied on professional stunt men to do all the work for him, though, Paul decided that he wanted to do as much of the work he could himself. You can watch a good sample of the actor's acquired skills in the two trailers below:

In the movie, which was scripted by John and George Gatins and is based on the famous Electronic Arts video game, Paul stars as Tobey Marshall, a street racer and garage owner who finds himself in a serious financial crisis. In order to try and solve his problems he puts his trust in an old associate (Dominic Cooper), but the decision turns out to blow up in his face as Tobey finds himself framed for murder. Years later Tobey is released from prison, and with revenge in mind he embarks on a high-stakes underground cross-country race. Unfortunately, his former partner welcomes him back to the outside world by putting a bounty on his head. The film's strong supporting cast also includes Michael Keaton, Imogen Poots, Dakota Johnson, Nick Chinlund and Kid Cudi. Look for Need For Speed in theaters on March 14th.
