Hero Blend #68: 10 Things You Need To Know About The Fantastic Four

It was almost exactly a full decade ago that director Tim Story brought the Fantastic Four to life for wide audiences, casting the likes of Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, and Michael Chiklis to play the First Family of Marvel. Unfortunately, the attempt, as well as its sequel, didn’t really please comic book fans too much. Now, however, we are about to see a brand new big screen version of the classic superhero group, so now is as good a time as any to learn about the history of the franchise.

Despite the fact that this will now technically be the fourth feature film made about the Fantastic Four, there are still a lot of people who don’t know too much about the blue-costumed heroes. Who is the leader of the group? Why is there so much controversy about the casting of Michael B. Jordan? Why do the last two movies get such a bad rap? We dissect all this and more in our latest episode.

Joining me as co-host for the latest Hero Blend is Cinema Blend’s own Mack Rawden – who openly admits to not knowing all that much about superheroes and comic book movies, but is open to learn. Enjoy the show!
