Hero Blend #72: A Look At The Fall 2015 Superhero TV Shows

Sadly, the big screen has run out of comic book-based adventures in 2015, but don’t fret: there’s still plenty of superhero action to be found on television. The arrival of the fall season means that all of our favorite DC and Marvel shows have returned – and this year we’re even getting to see a few new ones!

Marvel Studios is building on its Marvel Cinematic Universe in a big way over the next couple of months, set to premiere the third season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (September 29th) and also bring us the highly-anticipated second venture in the deal between the comic book company and Netflix: Jessica Jones (November 20th). That’s a pretty impressive duo – especially when you consider how much better S.H.I.E.L.D. got in Season 2 – but DC is staying competitive both in terms of quality and quantity. Flash (October 6th) will be back to hopefully impress even more after a great first season; Gotham (September 21st) is returning to flood the streets of its titular city with villains; Arrow (October 7th) looks to aim higher in Season 4; and Supergirl (October 26th) arrives to deliver some girl power.

Obviously that’s quite a lot to go over, but I have the perfect co-host to go over all of it with me. Roth Cornet from HitFix joins me for this packed episode, which you can watch in the video embed above!
