The Cord Cutter Podcast #43: Mute And Seven Seconds Reaction

Welcome to the 43rd edition of The Cord Cutter Podcast! Today, Mick, Adrienne and Jeff will talk about recent Netflix additions Mute and Seven Seconds! And, in case you haven't seen either, we'll start off by having some brief, non-spoiler discussions so you can get our basic opinions, and then dive into the deep end for a spoilerific discourse later! This edition of the podcast will bring two very different properties to the forefront. Mute, from Duncan Jones, is a spiritual successor to his well-loved sci-fi film Moon in that it takes place in the same futuristic world; while Seven Seconds is a gritty, ripped-from-the-headlines type of tale that focuses on police corruption, so you can bet we'll have a lot to discuss!

Mute and Seven Seconds might cover distinctly different territory, but each has its own specific style and some very intricate stories to tell. During today's episode, we'll go over the weirdness of Mute, the hard, real world truths of Seven Seconds, along with what we loved, hated and were completely confused by in both, whether or not they met the expectations that we went in with and what reveals we thought were coming that we were totally wrong about. Ready to dive in? Great! Read on to get the lowdown on this week's podcast and then listen for yourself above!
