Macaulay Culkin has always been on the thinner side but within a range where no one really noticed or commented on it. Recently, however, the internet has developed a new obsession with his weight after some recent photos emerged showing Culkin down a few pounds.

The most alarming of those photos first ran on Entertainment Tonight, and it depicted the star, with more facial hair than usual, looking strikingly gaunt. Not surprisingly, many outlets ran with the picture and hinted Culkin might have some kind of problem, but the actor’s representative has since released a statement blasting charges that there’s a problem. Here’s an excerpt of the denial, as per People

Macaulay Culkin is in perfectly good health. For anyone to speculate or suggest otherwise is reckless, irresponsible and destructive. The massive media attention towards the status of Mr. Culkin's health is unnecessary but duly noted.

There you have it. The internet will continue speculating without any real knowledge because that's what people on the internet do, but I'm going to choose to take his rep's word for it. We've all been the subject of pictures where we looked a little thinner than expected or a little larger than expected based on the angle. It only stands to reason that should happen to celebrities even more often given how frequently they have their pictures taken.
