Deion Sanders Wins Temporary Custody Of His Kids

Deion Sanders and his soon-to-be ex-wife faced off in court yesterday, and the cover corner came out of the skirmish with two major victories. The former Cowboys star was given temporary custody of the children while the fighting works its way through the court system, and Pilar was barred from going within five hundred feet of Sanders’ current residence. That’s about as close to total victory as one can get, but it’s really not surprising considering all that’s come before.

Back in December, Sanders announced the couple had decided to go their separate ways. Unfortunately, he didn’t seem to tell Pilar a final decision had been made. She immediately lashed out and vowed he’d return to his family. Thanks to a strange clause in the prenup that allowed her to buy a home worth half the value of their current residence, she began house shopping but later accused her husband of trying to trade money for sex. The chatter died down for a bit afterwards, but near the end of last month, Deion took to Twitter to say Pilar had broken into his house. He quickly filed a police report, and all parties wound up in court today.

According to TMZ, the judge also ruled the former couple’s three children must undergo psychological counseling. They were at home during the recent break-in/ altercation, but even if they weren’t, watching their parents accuse each other of heinous things couldn’t have been good for their psyches.

We’ll keep you updated whenever the next outlandish allegation drops.
