Sarah Jessica Parker's Feet Are Deformed From Wearing Heels

Sarah Jessica Parker has been known for her fashion sense over the years, whether she is in character or simply out and about in society. However, lately she’s been wearing fewer and fewer beautiful heels, thanks to a deformity in her feet occurring due to wearing too many of those height-increasing pumps.

Parker began wearing high-heeled shoes for up to 18 hours a day when she shot Sex and the City. While HBO’s hit show ended its six-season run in 2004, the 47-year-old actress has continued to wear high heels on a frequent basis. While she usually springs for more expensive shoes, the actress recently wore cheaper shoes during the shooting of I Don’t Know How She Does It and she later ended up at the podiatrist because of the footwear change. Parker told Net-A-Porter the podiatrist delivered fairly dismal news.

“I went to a foot doctor and he said, 'Your foot does things it shouldn't be able to do. That bone there...you've created that bone. It doesn't belong there.”

Being told you are taking poor care of your feet is already a bad sign, but being told you have a foot deformity should be a wake up call. The actress says she is cutting back on heels, and while she’s less than chipper about it, she does seem to be taking the shoe change fairly well, which is a good sign.

“The moral of the story is, the chickens are coming home to roost. It's sad, because my feet took me all over the world, but eventually they were like, 'You know what, we are really tired, can you just stop—and don't put cheap shoes on us?'"

You can next catch Parker in Escape From Planet Earth, in theaters now. Luckily the flick’s animated, so the actress shouldn’t have had to worry about her feet problems this time around.
