Watch Fleetwood Mac Announce New EP, Unveil New Music Onstage

Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham got up onstage on April 6th at a gig in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as part of the band’s North American tour to talk shop about the band touring for the first time in 3 years and opting to go into the studio for the first time in even longer. In the video from the performance, Buckingham calls the music “The best stuff we’ve done in a long time,” also explaining that a new EP will be available in just a few days, although he didn’t really specify how long that would be.

There’s even better news, however. If you can manage to make it through Buckingham’s lengthy speech, you’ll be able to catch a sample of the new music from the EP. The track is called “Sad Angel,” and is actually an expansive pop track with vocals from Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. Thanks to Rolling Stone for bringing the video to our attention.

We’ve known new music was potentially coming from the band thanks to Nicks admitting she had done some recording several months ago, and not just with the Sound City Players. Fleetwood Mac has been through some ups and downs over the years, but kudos to the group for continuing to play together and put out new music for the fans who have stuck around over the years. We’ll keep you posted as soon as the group announces an EP release date and title.
