Dina Lohan Claimed She Was Injured, Changed Her Mind During DUI Arrest

Remember when Lindsay Lohan decided to go home with her mother after rehab and there was serious concern as to whether living with her was a responsible decision? Well, here’s a good reminder of why that fear existed. Last night, Dina Lohan was arrested in Long Island for driving under the influence of booze, and surprise surprise, she apparently wasn’t exactly the friendliest of citizens during the traffic stop.

According to TMZ, Lohan was on Northern State Parkway at around 11 PM when police officers spotted her white BMW travelling at 77 mph in a 55 mph zone. She was promptly pulled over and during the stop, officers decided to hit her with a breathalyzer test, which she allegedly failed. By a longshot. Dina’s blood alcohol level was reportedly .20, which is more than twice the legal limit in New York. Cops promptly arrested her, but during the handcuffing process, she allegedly caused a stink about a supposed injury.

A new group of responders was dispatched to the scene to deal with her pain. Upon arrival, however, they couldn’t find anything wrong with her, and she apparently switched course and retracted the injury allegation. She was later hauled off to jail and booked on two counts of driving under the influence and one count of speeding. Not long after, someone came to the station and picked her up, but by all accounts, that unidentified person was not her daughter Lindsay.

Driving under the influence is never a good decision, but at fifty-years-old, Dina should definitely know better. As the mother of a girl who just got out of rehab and is doing everything she can to stay away from strong drink, you would think she’d stop drinking and/ or severely limit herself to be a good example and/ or show solidarity, but clearly, she’s more interested in doing what she wants to do.

Dina has had more than her share of problems over the years. Pop Blend wishes her nothing but the best in her recovery process. Hopefully, she’ll use this setback to go seek help herself.
