Honey Boo Boo And Family Fine After Car Accident

It takes a lot more than a car accident to put a dent into the collective spirit of the Thompson family. The much-discussed clan, best known for the reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was out and about on Monday evening when their vehicle collided with a pick-up truck in the middle of an intersection. Police and emergency responders were on the scene within a few minutes, but thankfully, no one was seriously injured and all involved have set their minds to getting over the soreness and focusing on Pumpkin’s fourteenth birthday party.

Here’s the full statement Mama June offered E! News earlier today…

"As many of you have heard we were in a car accident last night. It was really scary for us, since it was the first time any of us had ever been in a wreck. We are definitely really sore today, but our top priority is to celebrate Pumpkin's birthday. She turned 14 today and no matter how sore we feel we are going to go out and celebrate. As always we want to thank everyone for their support and well wishes."

The exact details on what led up to the crash are still a little fuzzy, but all involved seem to agree on the basic parameters. In short, Sugar Bear was waiting in an intersection to make a lefthand turn. When he thought the coast was clear, he turned left and the front of the family’s vehicle was struck by another vehicle trying to go straight. If Sugar Bear is to be believed, the other dude did not have his lights on. If the other dude is to be believed, his lights were on and Sugar Bear just didn’t see him.

Random dude procured a lawyer, but he apparently hasn’t bothered going to the hospital and has told everyone he’ll be fine. That would seem to indicate he’s not interested in suing and making a big issue out of what happened, which sounds about right for a nineteen-year-old from Georgia. If something further does develop from the situation, however, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Pop Blend’s sincerest well wishes go out to everyone involved in the accident. Here’s to hoping they’re able to get back to provide their unusual brand of family values really soon.
