Why Getting A Boob Job Was Awesome, According To Anna Faris

Anna Faris in Mom

Anna Faris is an open book, even when it comes to talking about her boobs. During a recent interview, the Mom actress/popular podcaster revealed that she has zero regrets about getting a boob job earlier in her career. She even went so far as to say it was pretty "awesome." Here's what she said.

I was always a negative-A cup, so when I was 30, I was getting a divorce, I had just finished House Bunny, and I'd sold another movie, all of these new things were happening to me, so I got my breasts done. It was fucking awesome. I never, ever thought I'd do something like that. I always thought plastic surgery was caving in to 'the man,' you know? But it came down to a really simple thing: I wanted to fill out a bikini. What would that feel like?

It should be noted that Anna Faris was getting a divorce from her first husband, actor Ben Indra, at the time. Her boob job story was before Faris got married (and subsequently divorced) to Chris Pratt. But no matter. As Anna Faris continued to reveal in her profile with Women's Health, even though the actress is happy she got the procedure, Faris admits she had insecurities at first; se was worried that she wasn't being a good feminist.

I'm still floored that I did it, because I am a staunch feminist. I kept thinking, 'Am I betraying my own gender by doing this?' I wish that we were more supportive of each other. I think that people should be able to do whatever they want, whether it's getting braces, bleaching their hair, getting extensions, getting a boob job, getting vaginal surgery, or getting a nose job.

Additionally, Anna Faris admits she still loves Chris Pratt, even though they are no longer together. They remain close to raise their child, 5-year-old Jack, and Faris claims she still has "a lot of love and friendship" towards Pratt, even during their separation. Faris cherishes the child they had together. That said, in a recent interview with Dax Shephard on his podcast, Anna admitted that she's still trying to rediscover the purpose of marriage.

Anna Faris can currently be seen in the CBS sitcom Mom, which premiered its newest season earlier this month. She is also soon set to be seen in the upcoming Overboard remake, which docks into theaters on May 4th. She was also recently heard in last summer's The Emoji Movie. Meanwhile, Anna Faris also recently published her first memoir, Unqualified, inspired by her relationship podcast. It hit bookshelves in October. Her podcast, Anna Faris is Unqualified, premiered back in 2015.
