This new Instagram post is the first time Jenna Dewan has addressed her recent relationship status since the celebrity couple released their statement. It was one week ago when Dewan and Channing Tatum officially announced their separation to their heartbroken fans. The Step Up stars, who met and fell in love while they were working on that hit 2006 film, told their fans that they had "lovingly chosen to separate" after a "magical journey" together. Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum claim that nothing has changed about how much they love each other, but they are now going down different paths. They chose to announce this news themselves on their social media accounts, because they didn't want false rumors and misleading reports, or what they deemed "alternative facts," to spread away from their notice. They felt their fans were owed the truth, even if it might hurt.

Although they are no longer staying together as a couple, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan claim they will still remain devoided parents to their 4-year-old daughter, Everly. Tatum and Dewan stress they will make this life transition as seamless as possible and remain "lovingly dedicated" parents. They got married in 2009 and they were considered one of the most affectionate couples in Hollywood before this new emotional bombshell dropped.

Nevertheless, Jenna Tewan and Channing Tatum are taking this time apart to have some space and focus on their own lives and careers. But they'll continue to "help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible." They also promise their fans that they are no salacious details or secrets.

Beyond her personal life, Jenna Dewan was last seen in the sitcom Man with a Plan. Next, she'll appear in a segment in the anthology film Berlin, I Love You, which is expected to arrive in theaters later this year. In addition to her work in Step Up, Dewan is also known for her reoccurring role in Supergirl, as well as for TV shows like Witches of East End and American Horror Story and movies like Take the Lead and The Grudge 2, to only name a few.
