Dave Chappelle And Jon Stewart Are Going On Tour

Dave Chappelle Netflix Jon Stewart Comedy Central

Dave Chappelle and Jon Stewart are heading on the road. The former Comedy Central stalwarts are combining their comedy talents to bring some much-needed laughs to the heart of America -- but only in a select number of cities, unfortunately. As it was recently reported, Chappelle and Stewart are going to Boston, MA, Houston, TX and El Paso, TX as joint entertainers in the heart of June. If you don't live in those cities, then you're out of luck.

The seven-date June comedy tour begins in Boston, MA on June 11th, according to Rolling Stone. From the 11th to the 13th, Jon Stewart and Dave Chappelle perform in the Wang Theatre. Then, on the 21st and 22nd, they're based in Houston, TX, where they'll perform stand-up inside the Smart Financial Centre. On the 23rd and the 24th, meanwhile, they're setting up shop in El Paso, TX, where they'll provide laughs inside the Chavez Theatre. It's unclear if they're planning to add any other destinations to their impending tour, but at the moment, these are the only locations they've announced.

This upcoming mid-summer comedy tour is not the first time Jon Stewart and Dave Chappelle have gotten together to share the stage. Last August, for instance, Stewart made an appearance during Chappelle's set at the Radio City Music Hall. As you'd likely expect from Jon Stewart's brand, there was a decent amount of criticism towards President Donald Trump and his vocal supporters. This is the first time they've gone on tour together, though.

Since Jon Stewart and Dave Chappelle have left Comedy Central with The Daily Show and Chappelle's Show respectively, they've focused their efforts on returning to their stand-up careers. Recently, Stewart signed a deal with HBO for a pair of specials set to air on their paid broadcast. Meanwhile, Chappelle has provided Netflix with an abundance of stand-up this past year or two. Those specials include The Age of Spin and Deep in the Heart of Texas, as well as Equanimity and The Bird Revelation. The latter two were released at the tail-end of December, while the former two won Grammys.

If you're looking to see Jon Stewart and Dave Chappelle perform stand-up this summer, you can get tickets exclusively through Ticketmaster's Verified Fan platform. Tickets are on sale starting Friday, May 18th, starting at 10 AM. Registration, meanwhile, opens on May 16th starting at 10 PM ET. If you're looking to get your comedy fix for the season, you could certainly do worse than Dave Chappelle and Jon Stewart. That's certainly safe to say. Of course, you'll either have to be in Texas or Boston in order to join them. That, or make the trek to their quarters. Sorry. We don't make the rules here.
