During a recent profile piece, actress/comedian Tiffany Haddish seemingly spilled the beans regarding who bit Queen B during a now infamous encounter. Tiffany Haddish was the one who first told the world that an unnamed actress reportedly bit Beyonce in the face, but she was originally coy about who the individual was. Everyone had a guess regarding the suspect, and we've got a possible answer from Haddish regarding the biter-in-question. While Tiffany Haddish didn't outright say who it was, the Girls Trip superstar seemingly confirmed it was Sanaa Lathan, the most likely suspect many online. In a recent interview interview, Haddish said the following about Lathan, after coyly dodging a verbal confirmation
I'm super good friends with her stepmom and her dad [Stan, a producer-director], and they were mad at me. They were like, 'Why would you do this to the family? You know, black actresses, you guys have to stick together, it's so hard for you guys to get work as it is, why would you try to ruin her career?' But I didn't try to ruin her career. I never said her name! I was just trying to say how Beyonce kept me from goin' to jail that night. I coulda just shut my whole career down.
Could this case finally be closed? It sure seems like it. For those unfamiliar with the biting story, the controversy began at the end of March when Tiffany Haddish told GQ about an incident where an unknown actress bit Beyonce at a party. The comedian was ready to beat the woman up for Bey's honor, but Knowles declined the request, saying the actress who bit her was reportedly on drugs.
The story quickly went viral. While Tiffany Haddish previously mentioned meeting Beyonce before, this most recent interview was the most she's talked about the subject since the story first broke. And while some were worried Haddish wouldn't be invited to any more parties after this information leaked, the comedian claims the opposite occured. She's invited to more parties than ever! The other day, someone was saying, like, 'Oh my God, you should keep your mouth shut 'cause now you're never gonna be invited to parties,' but I got invited to way more parties after that. It's ridiculous how many parties. 'Can you come to my party?' 'Can you come to my thing?' They want me to talk about something at their thing 'cause they think, like, 'This is gonna put me back on if Tiffany says something.'
Indeed, Tiffany Haddish is celebrating the high point of her career at the moment. Since making a huge splash with Girls Trip last summer, Haddish has released a best-selling memoir, starred in a popular TBS series entitled The Last O.G., and headlined stand-up sets around the country. Now, she's set to appear in a slew of new movies too. Those include Uncle Drew, which is set to be released on June 29th. She's also set to star in Night School, director Malcolm D. Lee's follow-up to Girls Trip, which arrives in theaters on September 28th, as well as Tyler Perry's The List, which enters theaters on November 2nd.
She's also currently filming a role in the crime drama The Kitchen, and she'll be heard in The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part and The Secret Life of Pets 2, both of which are entering theaters next year. Haddish is also lending her voice to the new animated series Tuca & Bertie, the new show from executive producer Raphael Bob-Waksberg. Needless to say, Tiffany Haddish is keeping very busy. But thankfully, she has plenty of good opportunities to have fun when she's free to have a good time.
