Why Mama June Hasn't Been As Active As She Wants After Weight Loss

Mama June The Wendy Williams Show

Mama June returned to the public spotlight with the arrival of WE tv's new reality TV series, Mama June: From Not To Hot, which premiered last year. On the new show, the former Here Comes Honey Boo Boo personality loses weight and works hard to achieve a new, healthier lifestyle. Since the start of her workout journey, June has lost 300 pounds, slimming down from a size 18 to a size 4. With the newest season of the show arriving today, Mama June has opened up about her journey, and the process of losing hundreds of points. As she revealed, it hasn't been an easy journey, and she hasn't been able to be as active as she would like to be. According to the reality TV mom, things haven't gotten easier for her, even though she's shedding the weight and finding herself in better shape than ever.

It's honestly been the opposite. I've had so many surgeries in my last six months that I've had to lay down. I haven't been able to go to the gym. And yes, I do eat my junk food and yes I do eat my comfort food but am I wrong for that? Yes. Am I sorry? No because I'm actually fighting for my vision and that's No. 1 right now.

In the exclusive interview with E! News, Mama June talked about her fluctuating weight, and how she has worked herself around being 185-190 pounds. She's okay with having a few extra pounds on her figure, but she wants to make sure she doesn't go past 200. Conversely, anything less than 185 pounds doesn't feel right either. Here's how Mama June explained her ideal weight in her television pursuit.

Gaining 25 pounds to me is nothing. I want to lose 15 pounds. I know I never want to go to 450 pounds, but honestly at 165, I felt like I was too skinny. I felt like I was losing weight too fast. I'm happy with where I'm at because this has been an emotional and physical toll on my body and it's not an easy road to go through. I promise you.

In addition to watching Mama June's weight loss journey, Mama June: From Not To Hot will also focus on other aspects of her life, such as her new boyfriend, Geno Doak. She's no longer in a relationship with Sugar Bear, as covered on the previous show. She's also in a custody battle with her former partner, which will likely be covered in this new season. Meanwhile, Honey Boo Boo is also planning to return to the world of pageants, which will be covered as well. There's quite a lot going on in Mama June's life, evidently. All this and more will be covered on the latest season of the reality TV series.

Mama June: From Not To Hot premieres its second season on WE tv at 9 PM.
