Holland Taylor Totally Slid Into Sarah Paulson's DMs

Twitter can be a weird place. A habitat of different social media users, famous or otherwise, you can find yourself connecting to people all around the world. And then sometimes, Twitter is a place where celebrities interact and ultimately connect with fellow celebs. That's what happened when Holland Taylor found herself making a connection with her future partner, Sarah Paulson, through the famous social media site. What a time to be alive. As Paulson recently told it:

We were doing a thing at Martha Plimpton’s house. It was for an organization that she was working with and we were both doing a little PSA for it. We sort of breezed by each other and started following each other on Twitter.

The conversation came up when Sarah Paulson appeared on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. During the program's after show segment, Paulson was given a chance to elaborate on how she became acquainted with her partner, and the Glass actress confessed that she got to know Holland Taylor when they were officially following each other on Twitter. Well, they first met at an event before that, but it was through Twitter that the actresses got to chat with each other more and more. That's when the relationship began to bloom. From there, the rest is -- as they say -- history.

Well, it's not exactly that simple. As Sarah Paulson admits, it's a "long story." But for the sake of the talk show, she condensed it to the story above. Meanwhile, it was fellow guest Billy Eichner who pointed out that Holland Taylor was the one who slid into Sarah Paulson's DMs, and therefore started the connection between the two. The Internet has brought no shortage of people together in this world, and that's true for this celebrity couple as well.

The details regarding their relationship are kept private, and that's understandable. It's likely a bit mundane, given that it happened over Twitter, but it's fun to know that even celebrities sometimes form relationships -- particularly romantic ones -- through the world wide web. In any case, Paulson and Taylor have been together since 2015, and they remained committed to one another. And it sounds like that's not going to change anytime soon either.

Love can form in any number of different places, and sometimes the Internet is where romance blooms. Sure enough, while it's a fairly unconventional route for two high-profile celebrity actresses, it's ultimately how the couple came to be, and that's the story that Sarah Paulson recently recounted on this newest episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. If any other celebrities admit to similar stories, we'll keep you posted on that too.
