The winds of winter are winding down later this month, and television fans are only a few episodes away from discovering what Sansa Stark's fate will be at the end of HBO's Game of Thrones. But in real life, it's hopefully just the beginning for Sophie Turner's career — though it does prove itself to be a monumental turning point. And in the process of looking back on how she has grown up with the famous television series, the actress revealed that in her love life, she has experimented with partners of the same-sex. Here's what Sophie Turner recently said about her past romances.

I was fully preparing myself to be single for the rest of my life. I think once you’ve found the right person, you just know. I feel like I’m much older a soul than I am in age. I feel like I’ve lived enough life to know. I’ve met enough guys to know — I’ve met enough girls to know. I don’t feel 22. I feel like 27, 28.

The confession was made during Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner's recent joint interview with Rolling Stone magazine. In the weeks leading up to the premiere of Game of Thrones' last season, there is a lot of anticipation worldwide for the prolonged fantasy series' final hours. And there are many people wondering how it will end.

Well, Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner obviously know the answer. But in the meantime, the actresses find themselves reflecting on how their lives have been changed forever by this series, and how they've grown as people since they matured alongside the show. In the process, Turner opens up about how she feels older than she is, and how she has found love through different people.

As Sophie Turner admits, finding love in a wealth of different people — regardless of their gender — is all "part of growing up." And while Turner is mere 23-years-old, she is turning to the next page of her life. Her famous turn as Sansa Stark is coming to a close, and her recent role as Jean Grey in the X-Men movies is possibly winding down as well following this summer's Dark Phoenix. The future of her career is full of possibilities. Hopefully, the actress will continue to push herself forward and see what happens next. She also has her upcoming wedding to Joe Jonas in store. So, in the spirit of looking back on her early life, she reminisces on the love she has experienced from past partners — including some same-sex ones.

Everyone experiments. It's part of growing up. I love a soul, not a gender.

Soon, the final chills of winter will be felt when Game of Thrones wraps up for good towards the beginning of summer. It will mark the end of Sophie Turner's longest gig to date, although she likely has a long future ahead of her. In the meantime, however, Turner is a point of reflection in her life. And now, in the process of looking back and seeing how she has become the woman she is today, the film/TV actress revealed she's experimented with romantic partners of the same-sex in the past.
