Amy Winehouse was found dead at her London home early last night, July 22nd. Winehouse was pronounced deceased at the scene after paramedics found the singer in her North London Flat. Cause of death is still unknown, but doctors are investigating. Amy Winehouse was only 27-years-old.

According to the UK telegraph, Police received a call at 4:05pm from a women asking for help in Camden. Paramedics were called to the scene, where Winehouse was found dead.

Unknown sources have told the Sunday Mirror that Amy’s death was due to an overdose of alcohol and drugs, though her death is still “unexplained,” but suspicious. In the Telegraph article, they also explain that friends of Winehouse had reportedly voiced their fears she was drinking herself to death. Her close friends told The Sun: “Her drinking is totally out of control. Amy is constantly out of control on vodka. She is rattling about at home in north London drinking herself into oblivion. Three times this week she has been so drunk she passed out.”

Though sad, this should not be a surprise for most of our readers. In the past year, Winehouse has been in and out of rehab, plus she was booed off stage in Serbia, where she was made an embarrassment of. After that quick bout with fans, the “Rehab” hit-maker canceled the rest of her tour, and we can assume this subsequently catapulted her and her career to its prospective end.

Adding to the eeriness of all this is Amy's age. She's now a member of the 27 Club. What is the 27 Club? It’s the group of musicians that have died at the exact age of 27. Other members include Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Jeremy Michael Ward and Brian Jones. Weird, right? Yea we thought so too.
