A film score producer who worked on The Aviator and Revolutionary Road has been sentenced to 12 months in jail after he was caught trying to organize sex with an underage girl.

James 'Jim' Dunbar approached a London ticket tout, Gary Thompson, in the street and asked for help finding a young girl aged between 11 and 15 to have sex with. The tout tricked the 50-year-old New Yorker and set up a honey trap with a 16-year-old girl, who posed as an underage sex worker. The teenager caught Dunbar on her video phone offering $675 to take her virginity and then passed the footage onto local police.

He was arrested and investigators subsequently found internet searches for child prostitutes in London on his seized computer. Dunbar admitted a charge of attempting to arrange the commission of a child sexual offense.

Sentencing him at the U.K. capital's Southwark Crown Court on Monday (06Dec10), Judge Nicholas Loraine-Smith handed him a year-long stint behind bars and told him he faces immediate deportation to the U.S. upon his release. (MJ/WNTMI&WNWCTIS/LR)
