The father of the man who was found dead at the home of British entertainer Michael Barrymore six years ago has been awarded compensation.

The body of Terry Lubbock's son Stewart was found in Barrymore's swimming pool after a party at his Essex, England, mansion in March 2001.

And the U.K.'s Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority has now awarded Lubbock $13,600 (£6,800) compensation for the death of his son.

Earlier this year (07), Barrymore, 55, was finally cleared of any involvement in the 31-year-old's death. No charges have ever been brought.

Lubbock insists he will use the money towards a campaign for his late son.

He says, "I am delighted by the news. I'll put the money into the fighting fund for Stuart. I am determined that I will get justice for my son and that's what the money will be used for." (LR/WNWCCB/MT)
