Jesse Eisenberg rates his course in anthropology higher than his acting lessons - because learning about humanity is far more useful for making movies.

The Social Network star has been studying social sciences for seven years at a New York university and he's adamant it's given him invaluable help in his film career. And he insists knowing how human beings think and interact is more useful in front of the camera that tips on acting.

Eisenberg tells the Los Angeles Times, "The classes I've taken in anthropology have been far more helpful for acting than the acting classes I've taken. The way other cultures think, people's emotional inner lives - (studying anthropology) has informed far more what I do in a way that is more interesting to me." (ZN/LAT/LR)
