Enrique Iglesias has been busy lately, as he announced a new tour and talked about the rumors of him becoming a host on X-Factor to Access Hollywood. The tour, which will begin in September, comes fresh off the release of his newest album, Euphoria. In his newest album he collaborates with Akon, Nicole Scherzinger, Usher, and Pitbull. He had the most to say about Pitbull, whose work ethic he admires greatly, saying,
“Everything he does he kills it. And one thing I learned about him, and this I learned in the video when we were doing “I Like It,” is every time this guy’s on screen, every time he goes to the studio it’s like he’s doing it like it’s the last time he’s going to do it”

A tour after releasing an album isn’t exactly breaking news, but for a while it looked like Iglesias would become a judge on Simon Cowell’s new X-Factor show. Both a lack of enthusiasm in the idea and scheduling conflicts ultimately doomed the idea, but Iglesias had this to say about the opportunity,
“We spoke about it. I actually spoke to Simon Cowell about it and I truly respect that man because he’s smart, clever, and everything he touches becomes gold,” “At the end of the day I was torn, it was kind of difficult to rearrange my schedule,” he said.

In other words, he wasn’t that interested, and so he wasn’t going to move his schedule around to fit a job that he wasn’t too keen on taking. Makes sense, especially given the fact that it would probably cramp his availability to both record and tour, two things he has proven to be very passionate about in his over decade long career.
