Success breeds more success. It works with business. It works with girls, and it works with skinny dipping. If you don’t believe me, take it from George Clooney. The actor, ladies man and naked swimming aficionado’s Italian estate has become quite the hotspot for impulsive, unclothed behavior involving some of the strangest and most famous people on the planet. From journalist Walter Cronkite to his Ides Of March co-star Evan Rachel Wood, it’s become a ritual to plunge into the lake on Clooney’s property, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Speaking to US Weekly after Marisa Tomei publicly shared details of her naked dive, Clooney confirmed the stories and admitted there’s a little more conniving that goes into it than people might think.
"Let me tell you. First I got Walter Cronkite to jump in. Then I got David Gergen to jump in. And I used Walter Cronkite to get Gergen to jump in. And I used Marisa and Evan in the lake to get Charlie Rose to jump in."

How could anyone possibly turn down a naked swim with Clooney, Wood, Tomei and Charlie Rose? That’s like the greatest story I’ve ever heard. Skinny dipping is a lot like pot smoking. If a few potheads ask a non-smoker on a random Tuesday, chances are beyond slim, but get some bizarre other people to agree and all bets are off.

If you ever thought about what you might do if you were one of the most famous and handsome people in the world, take some notes from George Clooney and reassess your fantasy. He’s pretty damn good at life.
