Concertgoers treated Kanye West to boos and leers of indignation on Saturday night at the Big Chill Music Festival after the hip-hop star word vomited out another of his characteristic woe-is-me speeches from the stage. Decrying his lack of popularity, MTV's unwillingness to play his new music video and the wrath of women's rights groups, the “Touch The Sky” writer told fans in an almost ten minute rant that one day they'll all understand. Shockingly, this mixture of self-loathing and condescension didn't win over the crowd, and West was widely heckled by a good percentage of the thousands in attendance.

I wish I could tell you that was the worst that went on over the weekend, but we haven't even scratched the surface yet. At some point after he compared himself to Michael Jordan, West offered up this cute little gem on his lack of ease when he's in public, as per the AP and the NY Times
“I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I'm fucking insane, like I'm Hitler. One day the light will shine through and one day people will understand everything I ever did.”

I don't know about the comprehension level concerning Kanye, but people certainly understand what Hitler did. He took over most of Europe, massacred millions of people and ruined a moustache choice for going on eighty years. If he were some dumbass in stupid glasses complaining about the world not understanding his art, no one would remember what the hell he did.

Honestly, it's dumbfounding how Kanye hasn't realized these self-righteous diatribes are the reason why “people look at (him) like (he's) fucking insane.” There are people who like listening to themselves complain, but I have never once encountered a person who has ever thought, “Oh that guy is complaining, I like him better now.” It just doesn't happen. If you want to seem cool, shut the hell up and leave it to your lawyers to bitch and moan. Or invade Poland and people will really look at you like you're Hitler.
