Jayceon Terrell Taylor, also known as the rapper Game, is currently in a battle with Viacom over their decision to ban his new music video for the song Red Nation. After sending a promo to the media corporation, they reasoned that Game’s music video was too racy for their two largest music networks, MTV and BET. According to WENN, the video explicitly shows gang culture and was banned because of its affiliation to the Los Angeles gang The Bloods, as well as its use of red. Which, if you aren’t familiar, is The Blood's universal gang color.

Popular rapper of the hip-hop hit The Dreams took to his twitter and explained to fans in ways only a rapper can: “So BET 'BANNED' the REDNation video !!!!! Said me & (Wayne) were too gang affiliated in it. Thoughts?” He continues to explain the situation elegantly “This just in: the video so HARD it just got 'BANNED' from MtV too ha ha ha....”

Here's the song Red Nation:

All isn’t lost for this gangster rapper though. Game hits up his twitter again to ease fans worries about the future of his video that he made with Rapper Lil' Wayne, “F**K IT !!!! I'm premering (sic) it on Thursday online MYSELF!!!” How about that for subtlety?

Game isn't shy of letting his affiliation with gangs get in the way of his career. Last month in April, his Canadian tour was cancelled after immigration officials refused him entry into their county because of his known accountancy with The Bloods. Cinema blend readers, are you excited to watch Game’s new music video Thursday?
