When I was a kid, the undeniably coolest part of riding on a bus was getting to sit without a seatbelt. That and using a bathroom in a freaking car; how cool is that? I did always wonder what would happen if the bus were to get hit by another car, or worse, a T-Rex like in the second Jurassic Park film; but the only time I’ve been in a bus is during a trip to summer camp. Still, Miranda Cosgrove has now found out just what a bummer riding in a bus can be.

People broke the story on Miranda Cosgrove’s broken ankle, which she likely rolled during an accident involving her tour bus. If I had to guess (and I do) I’d say that Cosgrove was standing up during the accident, and rolled her ankle while trying to stabilize herself during the crash. I could be wrong, but that seems likely from the limited information made available.

Unfortunately for fans hoping to see her perform, the tour has now been cancelled. Her representative confirmed the accident, saying, "There were five passengers on the bus, and Miranda suffered a broken ankle. At the time, we are told everyone will be fine."

Thankfully no one was more seriously injured, but what a bummer to have to cancel a tour over something so stupid. The cause of the accident wasn’t given, which makes me wonder if it was the fault of the bus driver. In situations like this, it wouldn’t be crazy for the other party to be thrown under the bus (so to speak) if they were found to be at fault. Hopefully Miranda will make it back out to the rest of her tour locations once the ankle is all healed up; but it’ll probably be at least two months before she’s close to being tour ready again.
